Participant Intellectual Property Policy

1. Ownership
Participants retain ownership of the original work they create for StudAI Foundry Season 2, subject to third-party rights and applicable licences. Nothing in this policy transfers commercialisation rights to the organisers automatically.
2. Disclosure Obligations
- Existing intellectual property brought into a submission must be disclosed.
- Open-source components must be disclosed and their licences complied with.
- External AI models, APIs and datasets must be disclosed together with their permitted-use terms.
- Submissions must not infringe third-party rights.
3. Event Licence
Participants grant StudAI One and Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, Chennai a limited, non-exclusive right to review, judge, demonstrate, photograph and promote the submitted project for event-related purposes. Separate written agreements are required for incubation, investment, licensing or commercial partnerships.
4. Confidentiality and Disputes
The organisers are not responsible for participant disclosure of confidential ideas; participants should not submit confidential information without appropriate protection. Disputes among team members regarding ownership or contribution are primarily the responsibility of the team. Plagiarism may result in disqualification.
