Refund Policy
When registration fees are refundable, how refund requests are reviewed and the timelines that apply once a refund is approved.
⚠ Draft — pending formal legal review
Draft prepared July 2026 · applies to StudAI Foundry Season 2 registration fees
1. What the fee buys
The team registration fee is charged once per team, during application, through Razorpay. It grants the complete participation package: access to all three build locks, AI evaluation reports, participant resources, community access and recognition. It does not purchase finalist selection or prizes.
2. When refunds apply
- Duplicate payment for the same team: the duplicate amount is refunded once verified against gateway records.
- Payment captured but registration not activated due to a platform fault we confirm: full refund or activation, at your choice.
- Event cancellation by the organisers without an equitable alternative (reschedule or online final): registration fees are refunded.
3. When refunds do not apply
- Change of mind, team break-up or inability to continue after the build journey has been made available.
- Non-selection for the physical final — selection is never purchased, so non-selection is not a refund event.
- Disqualification for rule violations under the Terms and Conditions.
- Failure to attend a physical final, including for travel reasons (travel is the team’s own responsibility).
4. How to request a refund
- Write to the support desk (or foundry@studai.one) from the team leader’s registered email with your payment reference.
- Requests are reviewed within 7 business days against payment and platform records.
- Approved refunds are initiated within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
- Bank settlement after initiation is subject to Razorpay and issuing-bank timelines, which are outside our control.
5. Failed and pending payments
If your payment debits but the platform shows it pending, do not pay again. Gateway confirmations can arrive with a delay (including after the browser closes); the platform reconciles them automatically. If a debited payment does not confirm within a reasonable time, the gateway auto-refunds it or the support desk resolves it against Razorpay records — either way, you will not lose the amount for a registration you did not receive.
