1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the StudAI Foundry Season 2 website and participation in the StudAI Foundry Season 2 event ("the Event"). The Event and this website are hosted and operated by StudAI One ("the Host", "we", "us"). The Event is conducted in partnership with Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, Chennai ("RIT"), which acts as the institutional partner and event venue partner. By creating an account, registering a team or using this website, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

Participation is open to college students, graduates, working professionals and independent innovators unless a specific restriction is published. Participants below 18 years of age may be required to submit guardian consent. You are responsible for your account credentials, for all activity performed through your account and for providing accurate, current and complete information. Email to your registered address is the official communication channel.

3. Teams and Registration Categories

Teams contain one to three members; individual participation is allowed. The team registration fee is ₹500 per team. Teams whose confirmed members are all current RIT students are ranked in the RIT Internal category; every other team, including mixed teams, is ranked in the External/Open category. If an RIT Internal team adds a non-RIT member, the team is reclassified to External/Open automatically and any resulting dues are shown in the team dashboard before submissions continue. The exact amount due is always displayed at checkout before payment.

4. Payments and Registration Confirmation

Registration fees are collected by StudAI One and processed through Razorpay in Indian Rupees. Registration is confirmed only after successful server-side payment verification and delivery of the official confirmation email. A payment-gateway success screen alone does not confirm registration. Fees do not include food, travel, accommodation or personal expenses. Refunds are governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

5. Event Access and Conduct

Event-day access requires a confirmed registration, per-participant attendance verification and compliance with venue rules published by RIT. All participants must comply with the Code of Conduct. The organisers may refuse entry to, or remove, any person who violates event policies, venue rules or applicable law.

6. Submissions, Ownership and Licences

Participants retain ownership of their original work, subject to the Participant Intellectual Property Policy and third-party rights. Third-party content, open-source components, external AI models and datasets must be disclosed and used within their licence terms. Submissions must comply with the Responsible AI Policy. Prohibited uses include unlawful, harmful, deceptive, discriminatory or unsafe systems and any attempt to interfere with the platform, other teams or the evaluation process.

7. Evaluation, Prizes and Disqualification

Projects are evaluated under the published judging framework. Jury decisions, after organiser review and validation, are final. Prizes are subject to verification of identity, attendance, complete submissions and organiser approval, and applicable taxes, if any, are the responsibility of recipients where required by law. The organisers may reject or disqualify submissions involving plagiarism, misrepresentation, unsafe systems, unlawful data use, harmful content, manipulated demonstrations or violations of event policies; disqualification does not create an automatic right to a refund.

8. Schedule Changes and Force Majeure

The organisers may modify the event schedule, format, venue arrangements or deadlines where reasonably necessary and will communicate changes through this website and registered email addresses. Neither the Host nor RIT is liable for delay, alteration or cancellation caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural events, utility failures, public-safety directions or other force majeure.

9. Website, Third-Party Services and Availability

This website is provided on an "as available" basis. Payment processing is performed by Razorpay, and email delivery, hosting and related infrastructure are provided by third parties; their services are governed by their own terms. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may suspend the website for maintenance or security reasons.

10. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the aggregate liability of the Host and its partners arising out of the Event or this website is limited to the registration fee actually paid by the affected team. Neither the Host nor RIT is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for participants' personal belongings, travel, accommodation or food arrangements. You agree to indemnify the Host and RIT against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your submission or your unlawful conduct.

11. Termination, Governing Law and Disputes

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The competent courts identified in the platform's published legal details have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any mandatory legal provisions. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions continue in force.

12. Updates to These Terms

The organisers may update these Terms. The effective and last-updated dates are recorded with each published version, and material changes are communicated through the website and email. Continued use of the website or participation in the Event after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
