Mentors are practitioners who review team progress at structured checkpoints during the build — complementing the AI evaluation reports with human experience and honest questions.
How Mentorship Works
Assigned
Mentor assignments happen through the platform during the build phase, visible in the participant dashboard.
Checkpoints
The mentor checkpoint asks teams for a progress update, prototype links and current blockers — then returns written feedback.
Recorded
Mentor feedback lives in the platform alongside evaluation reports, so teams can act on all of it together.
Boundaried
Mentors advise; teams build. Contribution declarations cover the team’s own work, and mentors never score their own teams.
Getting the Most From a Mentor
Practitioners and faculty interested in mentoring Season 2 can send a request through the Get Involved page with a short profile — mentor onboarding runs through the operational platform after review.
Mentor checkpoints are part of every paid team’s journey.
